Old Town Kaufbeuren

Neuschwanstein Castle (40 min. by car)
Neuschwanstein is the most famous of Louie II.’s castles and one of the most well-known sights of Germany. Often referred to as fairytale castle, it can be visited nearly throughout the year. Website
Old Town Füssen (30 min. by car)
Located in dreamlike, royal landscape, nestled in soft hills and guarded by stone wardens the high castle rises, clear for everyone to see. Beneath, the old town of Füssen stretches out. Different epochs combine in a scenery that makes an unforgettable experience out of any trip. The narrow and winding alleys are witnesses of a flourishing medieval town. Above, high gothic gables spread out in the skies. Besides the richly decorated churches from the Baroque and rococo ages the remains of the old town wall can be found.

Allgäu Skyline Park/Thermal Bath Bad Wörishofen (20 min. by car)
Thrill rides, pulse acceleration, breathless suspense and an eerily beautiful tingle throughout the body: I you are looking for action, Skyline Park in Bad Wörishofen is the place to go. Those who are brave enough can check out the Sky Wheel, Europe’s highest upside down rollercoaster. Should the weather be bad, one can still go to the nearby Thermal Bath.

Ammersee/Andechs Monastery/Starnberger Lake (30 min. by car)
The trip from Kaufbeuren to the northern shore of the Ammersee is only half an hour. Enjoy a steam boat ride over the lake or just watch the scenery from the shoreline – it’s always beautiful. If you make the drive up to Andechs, you can climb up the holy mountain and visit the abbey. The view is fantastic and the Starnberger Lake isn’t far away either. These famous and honorable places between Allgäu and Munich are always worth a trip.
